From Tina Harding:
Hi Maggie,
Sorry I haven't been in touch earlier.Candy(Lady), My Four year old, renamed her) has settled in great. She is everything you told me and more. With the heat, rain and kids, I have only been riding her this past month. I couldn't be happier with her. She is so quiet and comfortable to ride, never feels like doing anything silly. On the ground is fantastic and loves the kids. I intend to keep her at home this year, and show her next year.
Just wanted you to know I am grateful for your honesty and would recommend anyone to buy a horse from you.
Thanks so much, Tina
Nearly forgot. CS Primmadonna, it was me that judged her at her first show.
I thought she was gorgeous.

Hi Maggie
Just letting you know that Scorcher has settled in really well, I have
changed his stable name to Lincon (hope you dont mind), he has been
fantastic to handle in every way a real sweetie, Ive had a couple of rides
already and hes been a complete gentelman hasnt put a foot wrong still quite
lazy to ride but thats what i love most about him, hes eating really well
now and even cleaning up the scraps from my other gelding (whos still a bit
off his feed from the royal) He loves going out on the crop everyday but
waits at the gate to come in to stable at night for his hard feed, he will
be the size of a house in no time, his coat is almost out now just the belly
to go, anyway just wanted to let you know that i love him and couldnt be
happier with him i will email you some pics next time so you can see his
progress and all going well i think he will be ready to come out after xmas,
anyway talk soon
Cheers Tonia
From Paula McPherson:
Hi Maggie,
just a quick update on Wanda, we attended the Michael Christie clinic on the 11th and 12th of July
in the Indoor, and she was such a good girl, it being her first time in the indoor arena and all. Just a pity
her unfit rider let her down a bit, lol. She is such a little tryer. I am absolutely stoked with this filly, Thank you.
Kind Regards
Paula McPherson
From Caris and Brittany Reside:
Hi Mags,
Just a quick note to thank you for the expertise and guidance you have shown us over the years.
We were fortunate enough to purchase 'Perfect By Nature' in 2003, whom has gone onto win Newcomers, HOTY Titles, Champions at Royal Shows and Top 10 at the Grand Nationals.
We then purchased 'Striking' in 2004, whom has won Newcomers, numerous Supreme Hack of the Shows, high placings at Royal level and who consistently partners Brittany to Grand National and EFA National Rider Qualifications.
Recently, Brittany and myself purchased a new hack in April 2009 to compete in Newcomers 2010. We hope to have him out competing late in 2009.
All three are exactly what Maggie had told us, temperament, movement, trainability, looks etc.
All three are fantastic to work with and fit in with Show life at Leeara Park with ease.
We wouldn’t go anywhere else for a quality, national level Show Hack other than straight back to Maggie. She has a fantastic eye and knows exactly what we look for in a quality animal.
Thanks Mags for helping us achieve our dream with our beautiful horses and are very much looking forward to continuing the Maggie Lees/ Reside Kids team here in WA!!
Love to all

From Nev & Colleen Rogers:
Hi Maggie
Been overseas on a holiday but before we went we took Donald to his first show for real. He behaved nicely and looked great, Robyn was reserve rider and he won his maiden (9 in the class) and was placed 2nd in the Novice (11), 3rd open Hack and won Heavyweight Hack(4), he was the standout horse at the show, but made a couple of mistakes when ridden towards the stud cattle lined up at the end of the workout area.He is working very nicely and is a beautifully balanced horse, also too bloody smart , he thinks he knows what you want and you have to be aware all the time as he will take over the workout given the oportunity, his flying changes are perfect, he never goes on the wrong lead when you strike off from the halt or walk.
Will let you know how the Don goes in the top competition.
Regards, Nev & Colleen Rogers
From Kasey Blacker:
Hi Maggie
I rode the [new] horse today. Like you said, he was lovely to ride, very natural rythym in trot, it will be a super trot in 12 months. I cant believe how quiet he is, I thought for the first day that he may have been a little tired from the trip but he is still the same today! For a 3 year old off the track, I dont think they come any quieter. So far so good!!Thanks for sending me another quality horse
kind regards, kasey
From sarah Wyatt:
I purchased Axel - 'Sangreal' from Maggie in January 2005. He was a striking looking 3yo colt who hadn't done much (definitely wasn't a race horse!) but Maggie knows how to find type and temperament and was on a winner with Axel. I think she sent me about 3 photos and I brought him sight unseen.
At the time I was looking for a hack to compete Newcomers on but being from a dressage background I also wanted to be able to compete dressage. In 2006 Axel started his competition career with a 5th at Hygain for the Newcomer hack, 1st Newcomer Show Hunter Hack at the Rising star show and went top 10 at SA HOTY. I was pretty happy with his efforts but decided to start him in some dressage competitions. EI put a halt to our competitions after about 3 outings but the time off was probably good in hindsight as we came out after EI and have managed wins and placing at all competitions we have been to with scores up to 75% at prelim plus a Supreme Show hunter hack award at his first show back.
Recently we had our first major dressage achievement together taking out the SA Preliminary State Champion and the weekend before he won the Rising Star open Show Hunter hack so we are really on a roll! We are now very close to being pointed out of Novice so we have started elementary where at his first competition we came 3rd (would have been 1st but I managed to get an error of course!!) We are training all medium and advanced movements at home and hope that we will be competing medium later this year and will start 2009 in advanced.
I thank Maggie for her honesty when selling me Axel. He was everything she said he would be and so much more.
From Grace Williams:

From Kasey Blacker:
Hi Maggie
Its Kasey Blacker here from Tasmania. I purchased a lovely chestnut horse from you about 9-10 months ago.
I am just letting you know that he has turned out extremely well. He went to a dressage day for his first outing and won a test there and then went to his first show yesterday which was horse of the year and won the Newcomer show hack of the year. The horse that ran 2nd to him then went on and won the open horse of the year. I did not have him entered in that but it is a fair bet that he would have won that also. He looks to have a very promising career ahead of him.
I have been having lessons with some interstate coaches and they say that he is one of the nicest if not the nicest horse they have seen in many years and that he would be competitive any where in australia. That is only the opinion of a few people but encouraging never the less.
Thanks again for finding him for me, you have a great eye. I will be coming back to you when the time comes for me to buy another hack.
kind regards, Kasey Blacker
From Kristin Twomey:
Hi Maggie,
I thought that you would like to know the Ace attended his first show this weekend. At the Batlow Show Ace won Novice Hack, District Hack, Hack 15.2 - 16hh and then was declared Champion Hack. He also carried me to Champion Lady Rider. Later in the afternoon we rode off for Supreme Champion Hack and he worked wonderfully. We had a minor blip at the end of the workout but he really worked great. We were beaten for Supreme by the Champion Pony but only after a lot of deliberation between the judges.
Ace was just wonderful yesterday and we were just so happy with him. He worked so well and was very calm about everything. We had so many people come up to us and comment on how wonderful he was and how much they all liked him. He had made a very big impression on people and that was only after one show. We are now looking forward to taking him to his next show in 2 weeks.
Cheers

From Karen Shaw:
Hi Maggie,
How have you been?
Sorry it has taken me forever to get back to you, but just thought I would give you a quick email to let you know Midas had his 2nd show outing yesterday, he is such an old stager already. He won his open and went Reserve Hack and the young girl that rides my ponies for me, when I say young she's 16yo, rode him in her rider class and went Champion rider on him, he's such a super boy!! Thankyou!!
Thanks for sending me his ID, have sent all his paperwork away, pending on availability, I have named him RS Inspire, as that is exactly what he has done for me, he has inspired me to get back out there and have another go, which I never thought I could have gone on with another hack without Lager. I miss him so much!!!!! But I thankyou so much for sending us Midas!
Rexy is going well, getting him ready for our riding pony show next month, will have to get some pic's for you, he has grown so much!!Hope your doing ok, will let you know how the boys go.
Karen.
From Melanie kittel:
Hi Maggie
How are you? I am just emailing you about a horse I brought from you a while ago Subdivide (subby).
Sub has done really well since I brought him and was everything I expected. He got Reserve Champion Hack at his first ever show, which was an ag show then went runner up newcomer at SHC Rising Stars 08
From Leah Swann:
Hi Maggie,
The horse you sold me just won rising star newcomer hack and novice hack at the Show Horse Council Champs show, he is just the easiest horse, and a really nice boy to have around. He took a while to get out of his head he was not going round at a racetrack, but once he was going and went to one or two shows, he just cruises along like he has done it all his life, even at the ags. He went out and qualified for Melb and Adelaide Royals in 10 days, gaining 6 ag wins And runner up newcomer at champ of champs, intermediate winner at champ of champs and the other two I mentioned above. Might see ya at Melb royal this year, think we might be coming with cruise.
From Helen James:
